Duleek Bellewstown came out on top in a 7 goal IFC quarter final thriller against Clann na nGael at Walterstown
After a hectic four days we now know the semi finalists in the senior and intermediate football championship.

Sunday: Ratoath needed a late 1-2 to get over the line in a thrilling quarter final clash at Devenish Park. The Black & Ambers were full value for their 1-12 to 1-6 interval lead, Luke Mitchell and Daithi McGowan with the goals. Dunshaughlin held a 2-16 to 1-15 lead as the game entered the last five minutes. Bobby O’Brien raised a second green flag and last years finalists added a brace to seal a semi final spot against Donaghmore Ashbourne.
Summerhill advanced to another SFC semi final with 11 points to spare over St. Colmcilles at a sunny St. Lomans park Trim. The sides were level 0-14 to 1-11 at the break but the Keegan Cup holders went through the gears in the second half and outscored the Seasiders 0-11 to 0-2 in the last quarter to seal a semi final spot against Wolfe Tones.
In the Intermediate Duleek Bellewstown take on Walterstown in the semi final after their four point win over Clann na nGael at Walterstown. The winners led 2-13 to 2-3 at half time. Walterstown caused an upset at Simonstown sending last years finalists Castletown crashing out of the race for the Mattie McDonnell Cup.
Kilmainhamwood will take on Kilmainham in the Junior B final. The Wood outscored Cortown by 0-9 to 0-1 in the second half to secure their place in the decider.

Saturday: With five minutes remaining Wolfe Tones Tom Gavigan levelled the game at 0-11 each. Soon after Kyle Moran was in for a crucial goal and Thomas O’Reilly added a point to put the Tones four up. Keith Curtis send over a two pointer just before the full time whistle but by then Wolfe Tones were on their way to the last four. Donaghmore/Ashbourne will join them in tomorrow evenings draw after their comfortable win over Trim at Dunsany. Playing against the elements the winners led 1-9 to 0-5 at the break.
St.Pats sent out a warning to all Mattie McDonnell Cup contenders with a landslide victory over last year’s semi finalists Moynalvey at Ashbourne. Colm Nally’s men led by 2-11 to 0-3 at the break.
Slane made light work of Moylagh to earn a place against Curraha in the Junior Championship semi final.

Friday: Navan O’Mahony’s, playing in the De La Salle jerseys caused an upset in the IFC when overcoming a fancied Meath Hill side in wet and blustery conditions at Castletown. The 2024 Intermediate champions led 1-6 to 1-3 at the break but the Town side playing with the wind totally dominated the second half and advanced to the semi final.
Seneschalstown secured SFC status for 2027 with four points to spare over Simonstown. The teams were tied at 0-16 each at the end of normal time. David Hosie’s men 2-16 to 0-23 at the end of the first period and an Eamon Finnegan goal with time running out proved the crucial score. Simonstown will play Na Fianna in the final.
Blackhall Gaels sent Bective to Intermediate Football Championship Relegation final against Drumbaragh with two points to spare at Martry.
Mickey Newman’s hopes of finally getting his hands on a Meath championship medal are a step closer after Kilmainham proved too strong for Boardsmill in Cortown

Thursday: Kilbride booked their place in the senior football championship for 2027 after an outstanding extra time win over Na Fianna at Batterstown. A Conor Downey two pointer brought the game to extra time. With six minutes remaining All Star Sean Rafferty scored a goal and the sides were level again 1-15 to 0-18. Kilbride found an extra gear and a point from David O’Leary and a two pointer from Josh Hartford sealed a memorable night for last years IFC winners.
Over in Martry Ballivor had to withstand a late Drumbaragh rally to seal their place in the IFC grade next season. A Conor Lynch goal gave the Drums a 1-6 to 0-6 interval lead. Ballivor dominated the opening twenty minutes of the second half and goals from Nicky Potterton and Edward Dunne put them six points up. Hughie Corcoran brought Drumbaragh back into the game with five unanswered points and just went a draw seemed to be on the cards Potterton raised a white flag to seal a win for James McCaffrey’s men.
