The career fair is on Monday and Tuesday
Happening Monday and Tuesday is the inaugural USF Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing career fair. It’s the first for the brand-new Bellini College of Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Computing.
Both students and alumni of any major interested in careers related to technology and computing are invited to attend this career fair. From cybersecurity roles to internships, there are a number of jobs and roles open.
There will also be jobs related to business analytics, data science, computer science and other IT professions. Several employers will be in attendance, including Deloitte, ReliaQuest, Honeywell and even Uber AI.
That’s no surprise since employers across the U.S. are strengthening their cybersecurity. Over the summer, CyberSeek — a cybersecurity workforce insights company — did an analysis and found a 12% increase in jobs compared to 2024.
As for the event at USF, organizers planned to hold it in the spring but due to popular demand they decided to hold it now in the fall. The university says they’re expecting anywhere between 800 and 2,000 attendees.
“It could be anywhere near it,” says Ivan Montero, adjunct instructor for the Center for Career & Professional Development at USF. “Being that this is our inaugural semester might be difficult to gauge our numbers exactly, but we do expect heavy attendance from those in the industry. We’re really excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our students for the first time and continue this as a USF legacy moving forward.”
Along with the two-day career fair, USF will also be hosting a few workshops related to writing resumes and cover letters.
Monday’s career fair begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. Tuesday will be the post-career fair campus interviews, where students can schedule an interview with employers they met at the career fair.
The university asks those in attendance to dress professionally and don’t forget to bring a few resumes.
