Four men have been arrested following the seizure of drugs with an estimated street value of over €2 million.
The men, who were aged in their 20s, 40s, and 60s, were arrested following a number of searches with vehicles also seized by gardaí during the operation.
The drugs seized included cocaine with an estimated street value of €1.6 million, diamorphine with an estimated street value of €529,000 as well as a small quantity of psilocin (magic mushrooms).
There was €34,300 in cash that was also seized during the search.
The operation was conducted by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau in collaboration with regional garda units.
Gardaí said in a statement that two of the men have since been charged with drug trafficking and money laundering offences and have appeared before Kilkenny District Court and the Criminal Courts of Justice District Court.
The statement added that the two other men remain in detention in garda stations in Dublin.
