The Walking Dead icon stars as disgruntled stay-at-home dad John, who is secretly frustrated with his life.
When a violent incident at the playground occurs, John is moved to make some changes. Weighed down by the guilt of his inaction during the spat, John decides to uproot his family and move from London to the rural idyll of Coldwater, Scotland.
There he strikes up a friendship with his mysterious next-door neighbour Tommy (Ewen Bremner), who is married to Myles’ Rebecca, a local vicar. But tension begins to sprout when John’s wife Fiona (Indira Varma) takes a dislike to the unsettling Tommy.

Based on Michelle Frances’ novel of the same name, House of the Dragon actor Olivia Cooke leads as the beguiling Cherry who meets her boyfriend Daniel’s (Laurie Davidson) mother Laura (Robin Wright) for the first time.
Soon after their introduction, Laura’s perfect life begins to unravel when she becomes convinced that not only is Cherry manipulating her son to climb the social ladder, but that she also has a dark secret.
The Girlfriend debuts on 10 September on Prime Video.

Task
Crime drama fans should get ready to fall in love with Sky’s new series Task, starring Mark Ruffalo as FBI agent Tom.
When a spate of violent robberies gets out of hand, Tom is tasked with putting together a team to restore order.
However, Tom is stunned to learn that the man behind these highly organised robberies in the working-class suburbs is family man Robbie (Ozark’s Tom Pelphrey).
The seven-part series also stars House of the Dragon’s Fabien Frankel.
Task debuts on 8 September on Sky and streaming service NOW.

Accused
The “Absolutely outstanding” British courtroom crime drama Accused that blew viewers away (via IMDb users) has found a new home on Netflix.
The anthology series follows different suspects as they await their court verdict and traces the turn of events that lead to them facing trial.
The series, which spans two seasons, stars Anna Maxwell Martin, Sean Bean and Anne-Marie Duff.
Accused is available to stream from 10 September on Netflix.
Paramount
Playing Gracie Darling
Fright season hasn’t officially started, but Paramount+ is kicking things off early with a six-part mystery thriller, Playing Gracie Darling.
The terror begins with the disappearance of 14-year-old Gracie during a séance and picks up 27 years later when a group of teens decide to play the spooky game ‘Playing Gracie Darling’, inspired by her disappearance.
However, when another girl disappears under similarly suspicious circumstances, Gracie’s best friend Joni is forced to face her past.
Playing Gracie Darling is available to stream from 11 September on Paramount+.

Tempest
Disney+’s international spy thriller Tempest centres on the attempted assassination of a South Korean presidential candidate.
The investigation that follows unearths a web of state secrets and an international conspiracy, with a fallout severe enough to reach the White House.
The nine-part K-drama is fronted by Korean A-listers Gianna Jun and Gang Dong-won, as well as Murderbot and Poker Face star John Cho and Daredevil: Born Again’s Michael Gaston.
Tempest debuts 10 September on Disney+.

The Dead Girls
A period drama with a gritty edge, The Dead Girls follows brothel owners the Baladro sisters and the events that lead them to becoming merciless killers.
Set in 1960s Mexico, the series is a murky tale of power, corruption and dirty dealings, with plenty of juicy secrets busting at the seams.
The Dead Girls debuts 10 September on Netflix.
