Irish EuroMillions player are being urged to “check their ticket very carefully” after a lucky punter managed to bag a huge six-figure prize in Friday’s draw.

The player managed to match all five numbers in the EuroMillions Plus draw on Friday, October 16, to scoop the life-changing €500,000 jackpot.

The winning numbers to look out for in last night’s EuroMillions Plus draw are: 6, 8, 24, 35 and 40.

The National Lottery had previously confirmed that the jackpot winner hailed from Co Meath, with Lotto bosses now revealing that the lucky punter purchased their Quick Pick ticket on Thursday, October 15, from Gillen’s Londis, Dublin Road, Trim, Co. Meath.

The Meath player completes a remarkable run of three top prize wins in three consecutive draws, following a €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize win in Tipperary on Friday, October 9 and another €500,000 EuroMillions Plus top prize in Wexford on Tuesday, October 13.

EuroMillions players in Meath are now being urged to check their tickets to see if they have bagged the huge €500,000 sum.

National Lottery spokesperson Darragh O’Dwyer said: “What an incredible run for EuroMillions Plus players, with three €500,000 top prize winners in three consecutive draws.

“First it was Tipperary, then Wexford, and now Meath has joined the celebrations after one player scooped the €500,000 top prize on Friday night.

“We are encouraging anyone who purchased a ticket for Friday night’s draw from Gillen’s Londis on the Dublin Road in Trim, Co. Meath, to check their ticket very carefully.

“More than 50,000 players in Ireland won prizes across the EuroMillions and EuroMillions Plus draws on Friday night, with the Meath player taking the title of biggest winner of the night!”

The Friday night winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should make contact with our Prize Claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to collect their prize in Lottery HQ.

As there was no winner of the €49,735,760 jackpot on offer in last night’s draw, Tuesday’s jackpot is now set to roll towards an estimated €60 million.
