Davina McCall has already courageously fought a brain tumour, and following surgery, displayed symptoms of advanced Alzheimer’s.

Now, she faces a fresh health battle after revealing she has been diagnosed with cardiovascular disease.

Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast, Begin Again, the TV presenter, 58, shared the news with her followers.

She said: “I wanted to let you know, I also have cardiovascular disease, and this is a very important conversation to have.

“Anyone can get sick and when I had my cancer experience, you just suddenly feel vulnerable in a way you weren’t before…Once you’ve been ill, you think ‘Oh, I thought I was invincible.'”.

Davina teamed up with the British Heart Foundation for World Menopause Day to address the crucial subject of women’s heart health, reports the Mirror.

While she offered little detail regarding her own condition, Davina encouraged everybody to get themselves checked out.

She said: “Heart attacks and cardiovascular disease is rife out there particular in women post menopause.

“If there’s one takeaway today it’s not to brush things off. Get your blood pressure and cholesterol checked, and if something feels wrong, listen to your body.”

Health enthusiast Davina – who launched a string of hugely popular fitness videos during the 2000s – revealed in 2021 that she was at risk of developing heart disease.

She previously recalled: “When they said I had high cholesterol, I just looked at my GP and asked if it was a mistake!”.

Despite consistently maintaining a trim physique, Davina eliminated fat and cheese from her diet and made the switch from full-fat milk to semi-skimmed – describing it as a “big sacrifice.”

The former Big Brother presenter – who shares Holly, 24, Tilly, 22, and Chester, 19, with ex-husband Matthew Robinson – received a benign brain tumour diagnosis in late 2024, before being told she had breast cancer less than a year later.

In April, she announced she had been given the all-clear, and has praised her new husband Michael Douglas as the “kindest, smartest” man she has ever known, crediting him with supporting her throughout her battle with illness.

The pair tied the knot last December before holding a second ceremony in July.

She said: “I can’t believe that I am at this ripe old age, with everything I’ve been through, and was lucky enough to experience it with him at my side.

“He had just the right mix of real wisdom, knowing the right thing to say at the right time, but also just the right side of funny.”
