The Pride of Britain Awards have returned, with a host of famous faces celebrating the nation’s unsung heroes.
Tonight, some of Britain’s most famous names gathered at the swanky Grosvenor House in London, with Carol Vorderman and Diversity’s Ashley Banjo presenting.
As always, the real stars of the show are the extraordinary winners, who represent the very best of humanity in Britain. TV star and campaigner Narinder Kaur looked sensational as she walked along the red carpet. The broadcaster opted for a sleek red dress, embellished with thousands of sequins, as she struck up a pose for the photographers.

“But I do understand there’s no endless pot of money at the BBC and sometimes they have to make difficult decisions. Thank you for all the messages and comments over the weekend. It’s so clear you share my sentiment and deep love for this show.
“For 26 years, it’s been an honour and a privilege to be part of DIY SOS, and I’ve loved nothing more than making it. What I always come back to is that it’s the people who are the beating heart of SOS.”

We had the best time.”
In a world full of negativity, the Mirror’s Pride of Britain is a “celebration of our country,” says Prime Minister Andy Burnham, who adds: “Every year, this special moment in the national calendar reminds us that the people of this country haven’t changed. They are still as great as they always were.”

Taking to the stage, Daily Mirror Editor in Chief Chloe Hubbard praised tonight’s winners, declaring: “We are honoured that they are here with us sharing their remarkable stories.”
Thanking P&O Cruises and ITV for their ongoing partnership, Hubbard also had some warm words for tonight’s hosts, stating: “It simply wouldn’t be Pride of Britain with our brilliant hosts Carol Vorderman and Ashley Banjo.”
Taking a moment to recognise the “huge undertaking” that went into this event, Hubbard reflected on the efforts Mirror staff have poured into making Pride of Britain 2026 a memorable evening.

She went on to describe how humble some winners had been when their bravery was recognised, some modestly arguing, “Surely there must be someone better than me.”
Hubbard added: “I hope in turn they inspire all of us to do a bit better.” Jack Grealish received a hero’s welcome at the Pride of Britain awards tonight – and said it was a ‘privilege’ to attend after years of watching the show.

The Everton winger joked: “I am playing against him next week!” Jack attended with his family, his sister Hollie, 23, who was born prematurely and has cerebral palsy, and their parents, Kevin and Karen. Jack frequently describes his sister as his ‘best friend’ and celebrates her milestones in life, including her first job.
