Louis Walsh has given a stark update on his health after he suffered a ‘mild heart attack’ while on TV.
Louis, who’s previously managed bands such as Boyzone and Westlife, has been a staple of our screens both as a judge and as a contestant, most notably The X Factor, where he served as a judge for two stints between 2004 and 2017.
Louis appeared as a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother back in 2024, where he reached the final and finished in fourth place. However, he recently revealed that he had suffered from terrible anxiety while in the house, and has ruled himself out of any potential reality television in the future — including a potential stint in the jungle for I’m A Celeb.

‘I wouldn’t do the jungle. My health isn’t good enough,’ Louis told Heat magazine. He would go on to reflect on his time in the CBB house, admitting that while he initially thought it was going to be a fun time, it ended up being anything but.
‘No. I thought it was going to be fun, but it wasn’t,’ Louis admitted. ‘I had anxiety problems and I had to get the medics. My doctor thinks I had a minor heart attack in there.
‘I did it for the money, but I shouldn’t have.’

While Louis won’t be consuming kangaroo testicles any time soon, he was also asked that, amid rumours that The X Factor could be rebooted, if he would return as a judge.
And while Louis’ health would probably be alright, he shot down rumours that he would return to the judging table for a different reason, adding: ‘I won’t be doing it as I am probably too old.
‘The money is good, they pay well. I don’t think Simon will ask me,’ Louis admitted.

Louis went into further detail surrounding his time on Celebrity Big Brother alongside his bestie Sharon Osbourne, but admitted that both he and Sharon are ‘television hookers’ and neither of them should’ve been there.
‘They let me out a few times to have a cup of tea,’ Louis told The 2 Johnnies Podcast. ‘I did it for the money but I shouldn’t have. Sharon was not in a good place either. We were television hookers.’
