A number of hotels in Mayo and Sligo took awards at the 2026 Irish Hotel Awards.
The Irish Hotel Awards recognise high standards across guest experience, service delivery, product quality and overall operational excellence.
In Mayo, Ashford Castle Hotel won the Best 4 star Hotel and the Hotel Restaurant Awards, while Belleek Castle in Ballina won Best Afternoon Tea and Best Intimate Wedding Venue Awards.
The Ocean Sands Hotel in Enniscrone secured five Connacht titles at the awards night.
The hotel was recognised in five categories, with Jennifer Howley named Best General Manager, Marcin Szczodrowski awarded Best Chef, and Elaine Scanlon receiving the title of Best Marketing Manager.
The hotel also won awards for Best Dog Friendly Venue and Best Coastal Escape.
This latest success follows another national accolade for the Enniscrone hotel, which was recently named Best Pet Friendly Hotel in Ireland at the Georgina Campbell Ireland Guide Awards.
