It follows another big prize bond win last month
It’s a perfect start to the Jazz weekend for one lucky bondholder in Cork, as they’ll be kicking off the bank holiday €100,000 richer after the latest Prize Bond draw.
The top prize in the weekly draw has been awarded to a bondholder somewhere in the Rebel County. This latest win goes to the owner of Prize Bond number AQA221246, which was purchased in 2019.
Prize Bonds are an Irish State Savings product which, instead of paying interest, offers bondholders the chance to get cash prizes. Anyone who wins money through a prize bond can do the following:
Have it automatically paid into the registered Bondholder(s) bank accountHave it automatically reinvested in new Prize Bonds, in the name(s) of the registered bondholder(s), on their behalf, for inclusion in future draws
Prize Bonds notify all prize winners by post or online. Where bank details are not provided, the prize payment option will default to automatic reinvestment into more Prize Bonds.
Founded in 1957, the Prize Bonds draw is Ireland’s longest-running prize draw. Prize Bond draws are held every Friday, and there is a €500,000 Prize awarded on the last weekly draw of every calendar month.
There were over 9,924 prizes awarded in this week’s Prize Bond Draw, amounting to more than €1,137,300. A total of 50 bondholders recieved prizes worth €1,000 while the remaining winners each took home a handy €100.
It’s the second €100,000 prize bond win here in Cork in as many months, with another lucky bondholder taking home the top weekly prize in September. The winning bond in that particular draw was purchased in 2022 and has the number AZH313977.
