Mayo’s Jordan Flynn and fiancée Jessie Brown are getting ready to tie the knot this Christmas and gave EVOKE an exclusive insight into what to expect.
It was a big night for Mayo at this year’s PwC All Stars as they continue to bask in the glory of Sam Maguire finally making its way back to the west after 75 years. And for Jordan and Jessie, it was a night off from planning.
While Jessie has been organising everything, Jordan admitted he’s been more than happy to leave the planning in her capable hands.

Jordon told EVOKE, ‘She has done everything. I haven’t done anything bar sort my suit out, to be completely honest.’
‘She’s carried the can now,’ he laughed, explaining how with all the football celebrations going on, Jessie has been brilliant about letting him enjoy the moment while she gets the wedding sorted.
The couple who are set to tie the knot in December have chosen Belleek Castle, a historic 19th-century Neo-Gothic country house hotel that sits along the banks of the River Moy in Ballina.

One of the most touching details of their big day is that Jessie’s grandmother will be making their wedding cake.
‘The first thing she said when we got engaged, she goes, “Oh Jessie, can I make the cake?” So I couldn’t say no to that,’ Jessie said.
‘It’s so special, like really nice. She wants to be involved, so that’s her forte, always.’

As for wedding nerves, Jordan said he is feeling fairly relaxed for now, although he believes that may change on the day.
One of the only things left on their wedding list is their honeymoon, but the couple said they have no plans as of yet and hope to get away after Christmas.
In another revelation, Jordan joked that his brother and fellow Mayo teammate Kobe McDonald would be paying for it.
After a crazy few months of football, it looks like Jordan and Jessie are ready to swap GAA celebrations for wedding bells!
