Acclaimed New York artist Hunt Slonem, internationally recognized for his vibrant paintings of bunnies, birds and butterflies, will visit Charleston Nov. 10 to 12 for a series of special events presented by TFA Advisory at the historic Charleston Library Society.
Known for his expressive use of color, distinctive brushwork and recurring motifs drawn from the natural world, Slonem has built a celebrated career spanning decades. His work is represented in prominent public and private collections, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
On Nov. 11, at 10:30 a.m., Slonem will participate in a public conversation at the Charleston Library Society, located at 164 King Street. The discussion will explore his artistic practice, the inspiration behind his iconic subjects and his longstanding passion for historic preservation — a subject that resonates deeply with Charleston’s architectural heritage.
The celebration continues Nov. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., when TFA Advisory will host a cocktail reception at the Charleston Library Society. Guests will have the opportunity to view a broader selection of Slonem’s work in person, meet the artist and connect with Charleston’s arts community.
Presented by TFA Advisory, the events reflect founder Irina Toshkova’s commitment to bringing internationally recognized artists and exceptional works of art to Charleston while fostering meaningful connections between artists, collectors and the broader community.
