NEW YORK —
From the sunshine state to the Brew City and the Big Apple, the Milwaukee Brewers have had a week fit for champions.
Just four days after making franchise history by winning their first World Series title, Captain Christian Yelich, second baseman Brice Turang and skipper Pat Murphy appeared on “Saturday Night Live” for “Weekend Update” with host Colin Jost and Bobby Moynihan’s recurring “Drunk Uncle” character.

“We have something in common, Drunk Uncle,” Turang said. “We’ve also been drinking since Wednesday.”
“I’m the manager, and that’s kind of like being the drunk uncle of the team,” Murphy said.
After the late-night show, the Brewers posted photos of the trio with actor Tom Hanks holding the Commissioner’s Trophy. Hanks also made a cameo in the show’s Cold Open, returning as the “David S. Pumpkins” character.
