If you’ve used GoodRx, you may be eligible for part of a $32 million payout addressing claims the prescription discount service unlawfully shared user data with third parties, including Meta, Google and digital advertising firm Criteo.
GoodRx is a free prescription price comparison and telehealth service. In a 2023 complaint, plaintiffs claimed that tracking technology on the GoodRx site and app sent information about users’ health conditions and medications to advertising partners without their consent, a violation of multiple state laws.

How to protect your health data online
If you use GoodRx and are concerned about third parties receiving your health and prescription information, there are several steps you can take.
Use a separate email address and a unique password when registering with GoodRx to limit account exposure.Avoid saving prescriptions, joining the GoodRx Rewards program or providing optional health details Manage your privacy choices on the GoodRx website. You can request GoodRx’s delete information using its data deletion form. GoodRx says some information may be retained for legal reasons, and records held by pharmacies or healthcare providers are governed by their own policies. Set location permission on GoodRx to “while using” or turn it off, disable ad personalization where your phone allows it and clear GoodRx cookies or browsing data after use.
If you no longer want to use GoodRx, you can go to Account Settings and choose “delete account.” You’ll lose your saved prescription history and any unused Rewards points.
Beyond GoodRx, data brokers, people-search sites and other companies also collect biometrics, demographic information, browsing histories and other personal records.
By law, they must remove your information upon request. You can do it yourself for free, but finding the right page, submitting a request and verifying it was completed can be tedious and confusing.
Companies like DeleteMe and Incogni advertise that they can remove your personal identifying information (PII) from data brokers’ files, reducing the odds that your identity will be compromised.
