Good morning – unfortunately, there has been a crash on the South Ring road this morning which is causing major delays as rush-hour traffic heats up.
The incident happened shortly before 7am on the N40 Northbound – with the Tii saying: “Between J9 (N28) Ringaskiddy and J8 Douglas (Cork). Multi vehicle collision.
Comment: Delays to your journey will occur. Consider a different journey route or start time. When approaching the collision location, drive with caution, reduce your speed and obey instructions from emergency services.”
This means major delays around Douglas and much of the South side as well as ongoing roadworks on the Douglas Road and around the south inner city – which caused huge jams around Turner’s Cross and the South Douglas Road last night – continue.
