QPR defender Jimmy Dunne has been drafted into the Ireland squad for the World Cup tie away to Portugal as Liam Scales withdrew.
Celtic man Scales had a family bereavement and will stay behind in Ireland to be with his family when the squad flies out to Lisbon for Saturday’s qualifier, so Heimir Hallgrimsson has issued a late summons to Dunne.
