A Co Cavan man is encouraging people to reach out and speak up if you are struggling with your mental health.
Connor Kelly says we need to talk about it everyday and have those conversations. The local man’s calls come as we mark World Mental Health Day today.
Connor cycled from Cavan to Snowdonia in Wales to climb Mt Snowdon and cycle back home to Cavan earlier in the summer.
His endeavours were all about raising awareness surrounding mental health and addiction.
Conor says he used the local SOSAD service and knows first-hand what the service has done for him. He says while it not be easy to talk about, the local man says it does help you feel much better in the long run.
