At the plenary session of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, Russian President Vladimir Putin noted the professionalism in the behavior of the country’s financial authorities.

“The basic condition for the development of the Russian economy is a sustainable macroeconomic policy,” the head of state said.

If the macroeconomic policy continues to be stable, Putin added, there will be conditions for the development of the whole country. Moreover, the Far East is a particularly significant region of Russia.

As for the key rate, it needs to be reduced very slowly and smoothly, otherwise prices will rise very quickly in the country.

EADaily previously also reported that Putin confirmed a reduction in poverty of 11.3% to 7.2%.
