Ornua says the move from 250g to 200g comes ‘at a time of sustained cost pressure in the dairy sector’

Kerrygold butter
Ornua has changed the size of its Kerrygold salted and unsalted butter blocks in the UK to keep the product “accessible” to shoppers.
It comes amid rising consumer prices, with recent Central Statistics Office figures showing a 2.7pc increase over the 12 months to September 2025. The national average price of two litres of full-fat milk rose by 27c in the year, while butter per lb rose by 68c, and the average price of Irish cheddar increased by 69c/kg.
