CRDBAG GRID DIVIDE Announced – Modular Divider System for Hard Cases

CRDBAG has introduced the GRID DIVIDE ecosystem, a modular divider system designed to organize and protect gear inside hard cases. You can “bend, cut, connect, and reconfigure” the dividers to suit your needs and your gear. It’s aimed at filmmakers, photographers, and production teams who need a layout flexible enough to adapt to different kits. Let’s see how they work.

CRDBAG has built a strong reputation for durable, practical storage solutions that keep gear accessible and protected on set. We first looked at the Swedish company’s CRDPOUCH MKII, a camera accessories pouch, back in 2022, and we reviewed several of their pouches and inserts earlier this year. You can read our full CRDBAG review here. The GRID DIVIDE system continues the company’s modular philosophy.

These dividers replace traditional foam or fixed dividers with a customizable grid structure that can be adjusted to fit a wide range of gear. Each panel attaches with precision-fit Velcro, forming a rigid yet flexible framework that resists collapse during transport. The system is made from 900D ballistic nylon with reinforced seams and high-density padding to withstand repeated packing and field use.

CRDBAG dividers fit several popular hard-case models, including the Pelican 1510 and 1535, HPRC 2500 and 2600, and Nanuk 935. The panels can be repositioned or reconfigured to create compartments for cameras, lenses, batteries, or audio equipment, and divider heights and lengths are standardized, so users can reconfigure layouts or move them between cases.

The GRID DIVIDE system is fully compatible with CRDBAG’s existing patch ecosystem. Each divider wall is covered in loop fabric, so users can mark or color-code where items like lenses or cameras belong. It’s a small detail, but one that will help keep things organized.

The panels can also be layered to create multi-level sections inside a case. That means the space above a camera body can hold filters or cables instead of air, making the most of limited volume.

CRDBAG says more “smart” accessories for GRID DIVIDE are on the way, aimed at expanding how the dividers can be stacked or labeled over time.

Filmmakers will benefit from how quickly and easily they can adapt these dividers. Rather than cutting foam or sticking with one setup, GRID DIVIDE allows crews to change layouts between shoots. The panels are sturdy and will hold their shape, even with full cases, so gear stays secure during transport.

The modular approach also means a single divider set can extend the lifespan of a hard case. When new gear arrives, only the layout changes, not the case itself. For productions on the move or multi-camera teams, that flexibility can streamline packing and minimize downtime.
