Leitrim has been ranked as the least EV-friendly county in Ireland.
A Chill Insurance report revealed that despite growing national interest in EVs, Leitrim has the lowest levels of infrastructure in the country to support electric vehicle ownership.
The report shows that per every 10,000 of the population, it only has 55 registered electric vehicles, 2 public charging points and just 1 EV dealership.

Longford comes in just above Leitrim, ranking 25th overall in the report.
Leitrim TD Martin Kenny says the findings are not ‘surprising’:
