Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street’s Tracy Barlow is left terrified next week, as Preston’s Petals is trashed by a balaclava-clad criminal.

Given Tracy’s ongoing feud with secret lovers Abi and Carl Webster, could either one of them have orchestrated the violent act?

What to Read Next

Fed up, Tracy informs Abi that she’s over being paid in instalments and wants the rest of the blackmail money she’s owed by the end of the day – or she’ll expose her affair.

Desperate, Abi turns to Carl, who assures her that he’ll give Tracy £500, but that’s all she’s getting from him.

Later in the day, Tracy finds her livelihood under attack. Could this be Carl’s act of revenge – or is it merely a coincidence?

“Carl has form for dodgy behaviour,” recaps our Weatherfield source. “After Carl tries to nip the ultimatum in the bud, Tracy reminds him that she’s the one holding all the cards.

“In turn, Abi suggests that they should give in and admit the truth about their relationship to Kevin.

“But Carl isn’t ready to take the plunge just yet and cheekily suggests that they call Tracy’s bluff instead. But does that mean he’s behind the crime? We’ll have to see…”

Before this, Abi suggests to Carl that the speeding vehicle that hit poor Tyrone Dobbs could have been one of Fiona’s dodgy motors.

Carl immediately covers his back, before meeting up with Fiona to reveal that he had no choice but to set fire to the stolen car. But when copper Kit spots the two criminals in conversation, is the game already up?

“This situation just goes from bad to worse for Carl,” our source continues. “Kit tells Carl that he plans to keep a close eye on him, then catches him red-handed talking to Fiona.

“Naturally, Kit doesn’t beat around the bush and questions Carl directly about why he’s hanging about with a known criminal. It’s yet to be seen whether Carl can worm his way out of the situation, or whether Kit will force him to tell all…”

Kit also has Brody Michaelis to deal with, as the teenager promises that neither he nor Dylan Wilson are responsible for the car crash because he was suffering an epileptic seizure at the time.

Following that exchange, Brody assures Carl that they ditched the car before attending the hospital, and the mechanic insists that the motor had vanished when he attempted to pick it up, so someone else must have stolen it before running over Tyrone.

Meanwhile, Dylan finds himself back in the hot seat as Jess grills him at the police station.

During the interview, Dylan is accompanied by his dad Sean Tully as he insists that he was at hospital with Brody at the time of the accident.

With poor Ty still laid up in hospital, will the police secure justice for him and the Dobbs family? And will Tracy identify the nasty piece of work that targeted her?
