While season four felt over-stuffed with guest appearances, new episodes are firmly back in the Arconia and, hopefully, back to what the Disney+ show does best

Last year’s fourth season of Only Murders in the Building (Disney+, eps 1-3, Tuesday, September 9) could just as easily have been called Only Guest Stars in the Building, so great was the number of big-name actors involved.
After a promising start, it began to buckle under the strain of having to juggle so many new and returning faces, some playing themselves, some playing fictional characters, several of them surplus to requirements.
