In 1997, at just five years of age, Kevin Kennedy and his two brothers, were faced with the death of their mother, who was 36 years old and had only recently been diagnosed with advanced stomach cancer.

The mother of three was only sick for a short while before she died and her middle son says that although he doesn’t have very many memories of her, losing this important person, who was known to have had a “great sense of humour” and was “an absolute lady” was life changing.
