TG4’s flagship Irish-language drama, Ros na Rún, returns this autumn for its landmark 30th season and with it a renewed commitment from community retailer XL Ireland, who proudly continues as the show’s title sponsor for another three years, through to 2028.
This extended partnership reflects XL Ireland’s deep-rooted dedication to supporting Irish culture, language, and community life. As Ireland’s only rural-based drama series, Ros na Rún has long been a powerful platform for authentic storytelling, and XL Ireland is honoured to stand behind it as a proud ambassador of the Irish language and Gaeltacht communities.
Paul Bealin, BWG Cash & Carry Sales Director, commented: “Our sponsorship of Ros na Rún has been a hugely rewarding collaboration. The values at the heart of the show; community, resilience, and cultural pride, mirror those of XL retailers across Ireland. The presence of An Siopa XL in the storyline has given our brand meaningful visibility, and we’re thrilled to continue this journey for another three years.”
Now entering its 30th season, Ros na Rún continues to challenge the norms of rural Irish life, blending drama, romance, and comedy with hard-hitting societal themes. From blended families and crime gangs to matters of the heart, the series remains a vital voice for Gaeltacht communities and a cornerstone of Irish-language television.
Ros na Rún, proudly sponsored by XL Retail, airs twice weekly on TG4 from 16 September 2025 to 25 June 2026, Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.30pm, with a Sunday omnibus at 7.30pm. Episodes are also available on the TG4 and RTÉ Players.
