The discussion began after Netflix France shared a promotional post for Black Adam featuring Henry Cavill’s Superman and Dwayne Johnson’s anti-hero, asking fans who would win in a duel. The post quickly went viral. Fans have since flooded social media, with many asking Netflix to restore the SnyderVerse if it were to purchase DC’s film rights.

The fan-driven #SellSnyderVerseToNetflix campaign has circulated for years, but the latest rumors have sparked a new buzz. According to Bloomberg, Paramount Skydance made a formal $20-per-share offer to purchase Warner Bros. Discovery, which was ultimately declined.

The company later confirmed receiving “unsolicited interest” from several potential buyers. This allegedly also includes Netflix and Comcast. They added, “After receiving interest from multiple parties, we have initiated a comprehensive review of strategic alternatives to identify the best path forward to unlock the full value of our assets.” (via THR)

The possibility of a sale has sparked speculation, with many hoping that under new ownership, Zack Snyder could return to complete his original Justice League arc.
