Coronation Street spoilers follow.

Coronation Street’s Hope Dobbs goes to war with Jake Windass next week, as she becomes convinced he’s been bullying her over text. When Cassie Plummer treats Hope to a trip to the salon for a Halloween makeover, the 14-year-old takes her seat in preparation for Maria Connor to give her a glow-up. However, Hope is gutted to receive another cruel text and soon realises that nearby Jake is laughing at something on his phone.

Jake has already seen the disastrous consequences when his older stepbrother Liam Connor was bullied, so would he really give someone else the same treatment?

What to Read Next

“Hope immediately presumes that Jake is the culprit,” explains our Corrie source. “As we know, Hope isn’t one to keep quiet about her opinions.

“Fiz, Cassie, Ruby and Maria are mortified by the sudden turn of events, which ends with Hope storming out of Audrey’s. Hopefully the adults involved can work together to sort this one out…”

The next day, Hope finds Jake in the café and takes her anger to the next level by grabbing his mobile out of his hands and smashing it.

Eager to put the feud to bed, Jake’s parents Gary and Izzy reach out to Tyrone, unaware that Fiz has kept Hope’s behaviour quiet so as not to cause Ty any more unnecessary stress while he’s still recovering from the recent car incident.

“You can see why Fiz wouldn’t want to bother Tyrone,” our insider continues. “He’s got enough on his plate, plus you’d think that Fiz, Gary and Izzy can iron things out between Hope and Jake themselves.

“That said, it’s yet to be seen whether Ty will see it that way…”

Is Jake responsible for targeting Hope? And if so, will Hope ramp up her revenge campaign?

One thing’s for sure – the drama for Tyrone is only set to increase in the coming months as the show continues to tease the possibility of Carl Webster being caught out for his guilt in the recent crash catastrophe.

Speaking to us recently about Christmas storylines, Corrie’s producer Kate Brooks commented: “You’ve got Tyrone and Fiz, and the Abi/Carl/James story is all still going on. Abi hasn’t got a scooby that that’s happening!

“Also, Tyrone still doesn’t know the truth about Carl and the car. So there are things which are bubbling – and ready to kick off…”

Coronation Street airs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
