Cadbury has announced a major changes to 300,000 of their Heroes chocolate tubs in the UK ahead of the 2025 Christmas season.
Cadbury’s owner, Mondelez International, has teamed up with packaging company DS Smith to roll out 300,000 paper tubs of Heroes in a bid to reduce plastic use. These tubs will be sold in Tesco Stores in the UK.
And if you get your hands on one of the tubs, you’ll notice a new addition has replaced an old-favourite. The Cadbury Flake will be included in the tubs at the expense of the much-loved Eclairs.
The chewy caramel sweets have been included in the Heroes tubs for the past 17 years. The new paper tubs featuring Flake will be available for a limited-time in Tesco stores from late October.
Speaking about the trial, Christina Bland, brand manager for Cadbury, said: “The Heroes paper tub trial represents a step in our active work to explore new packaging solutions for our portfolio.
“This trial will inform our long-term packaging approach, and we are also excited to introduce Cadbury Flake to the assortment for this trial, offering a new favourite for consumers to enjoy.”
