Roma’s Evan Ferguson reacts against Viktoria Plzen
Roma manager Gian Piero Gasperini has taken a swipe at his strikers, including Ireland international Evan Ferguson, over their poor return in front of goal after another slip-up by the Italian side.
Roma’s tough season took another downturn on Thursday night with a shock 2-1 defeat at home to Czech side Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League, a third straight home loss. Ferguson has been in and out of the starting XI as Gasperini tinkers with his team depending on the competition and came on after 75 minutes against Plzen. He still awaits his debut goal after eight appearances, though he did score for Ireland in the last two international windows.
