Limerick gardai seize big wrap of cocaine from man acting suspiciously

GARDAI from Henry Street seized a big wrap of cocaine from a man acting suspiciously in Limerick city.

A post on An Garda Siochana’s social media accounts posted that members of the Community Policing Unit, while on patrol, observed a male behaving suspiciously in the Historical Quarter area of Limerick city.

“A search was carried out, during which suspected cocaine with an estimated value of over €1,150 was discovered in his possession.

“The man was arrested at the scene and the suspected drugs seized,” read the post. The gardai were on the beat on Wednesday, September 3.

They will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for drug analysis, which will determine the course of the investigation.
