Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Salman Khan posted a nostalgic picture featuring himself and Satish Shah from one of their earlier films. Along with the photo, he wrote, “Known u since I was 15… life lived kingsize.. May your soul rest in peace. Will miss u Satish Ji…”
The actor’s message resonated deeply with fans, many of whom took to social media to share their own memories of Satish Shah’s legendary performances in Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Main Hoon Na, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Hum Saath Saath Hain, and the cult sitcom Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai.

Satish Shah’s funeral took place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, and was attended by several prominent personalities from the film and television fraternity. His Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai family — including JD Majethia, Rupali Ganguly, Aatish Kapadia, Sumeet Raghavan, Deven Bhojani, and Rajesh Kumar — came together for an emotional farewell that moved everyone present.
In a video shared by TellyChakkar, the team is seen singing the iconic title track of Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai as a tribute to their beloved Indravadan Sarabhai. The moment was poignant and deeply emotional, bringing tears to the eyes of those present and fans across social media.
Rupali Ganguly, who played Monisha in the show and shared a father-in-law–daughter-in-law bond with Shah’s character, was seen breaking down inconsolably. The video captured the heartfelt grief of a team that had become a family over the years.
Rajesh Kumar, who portrayed Rosesh Sarabhai, also took to Instagram to express his pain. He wrote, “This is the worst hour for me… I still cannot process that Satish ji is no more… all I can say is that it feels I have lost my father… A man full of life n humour. Challenging everything.. Made his name left his mark as an actor… this is a big big loss to the industry and us (Sarabhai’s family). Let’s pray for his departed soul and keep him in your prayers (sic).”
Meanwhile, Sumeet Raghavan, who played Sahil Sarabhai, shared an emotional video on his Instagram, remembering his on-screen father. He captioned it, “Love you Satish kaka.. Love you dad… We all love you and miss you indu.. narad muniiiii.. (sic).”
