Evan Ferguson is set to miss Ireland’s World Cup games against Portugal and Hungary next month with an ankle injury.
Ferguson was given a rare Serie A start for Roma at home to Parma on Wednesday night but he was forced off after just seven minutes as an ankle complaint, which has been nagging him for some time, flared up.
