Former EU commissioner Phil Hogan was among the figures tapped by DJ Carey for cash for bogus cancer treatment — and one of the few the hurler failed to hoodwink.
Mr Hogan, a former Fine Gael minister, was approached by Carey in 2021, according to a new book that charts the Kilkenny sportsman’s fall from grace.
