Fianna Fáil presidential candidate Jim Gavin has returned to his full-time role at the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) after a disastrous election for the government parties during which the former Dublin GAA manager dramatically exited the race.
A spokesperson for the IAA confirmed Mr Gavin had returned to his role as chief operations officer (COO) following the presidential election on October 24.
