The Animation Showcase has launched its Best Animated Short Film Collection 2025, now streaming exclusively for animation industry members and professionals worldwide.
The curated lineup highlights many of the year’s most acclaimed short films, including festival winners and major award contenders, and will be available to view until the Oscar shortlist announcement on December 16.
This year’s program features a mix of established studios, superstar filmmakers, and rising indie voices.
Founded by curator Benoit Berthe Siward, The Animation Showcase travels annually from Paris to Los Angeles and beyond, bringing its handpicked festival highlights to major studios and now to an online audience.
“Over the past year, we’ve travelled to the best festivals and leading animation studios to uncover the most powerful and inspiring animated gems of the year,” Siward said in a release. “These films represent the very best of contemporary animation – powerful storytelling, artistic innovation, and deeply human perspectives. It’s an honor to share the work of such extraordinary filmmakers with the animation community worldwide.”
Alongside the shorts, the platform will roll out exclusive behind-the-scenes content, including Making Ofs, Q&As, featurettes, and even select animated features. The showcase continues its tradition of spotlighting award-caliber works, previously hosting Flee, Marcel the Shell with Shoes On, and War Is Over!, all of which went on to earn Oscar nominations or wins.
Industry members and students can request access to the platform by submitting professional credentials such as IMDb or LinkedIn profiles.
