A special event surrounding family law is taking place in Carrickmacross this evening from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Carrickmacross Civic Offices.
The launch of a photography exhibition centred on the themes of family law and LGBT+ parenthood is taking place.
The exhibition features a compelling series of photographs accompanied by a companion book, which will also be unveiled on the evening.
The objective of this exhibition is to highlight the inequalities within Irish family law as they pertain to LGBT+ parents and their rights to parenthood. Through visual storytelling, the event aims to encourage dialogue and promote a deeper understanding of these critical issues.

The event will provide a valuable opportunity to engage directly with LGBT+ parents, hear their experiences, and ask questions that may help inform and improve support for future clients.
Sarah Jane Travers who is the author of the book that is being launched tonight entitled family law, says as she travelled around the North East and photographed these families, love was very much to the fore. She said these families that have been involved are making history.
