A woman in her 60s is in serious condition following a collision involving a van and a pedestrian in Cork city.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident, which took place at the junction of Anglesea Street and Anglesea Terrace, at 3.30pm on Wednesday.

The pedestrian, the woman aged in her 60s, was taken to Cork University Hospital where she remains in a serious condition.

No other injuries were reported following the incident.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on Anglesea Street and Anglesea Terrace between 3:15pm and 3.45pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating gardaí.
