Grammy nominations on Friday morning brought one sad reality: nobody will achieve EGOT status with a Grammy win in 2026.

There are only 10 living artists who have won an Emmy, Oscar, and Tony, but none is contending for a Grammy this time around. The Grammy-less list of aspirting EGOTs includes: Ellen Burstyn, Jeremy Irons, Jessica Lange, Frances McDormand, Liza Minnelli, Helen Mirren, Al Pacino, Vanessa Redgrave, Geoffrey Rush, and costume designer Paul Tazewell. Minnelli received a Grammy Living Legend award, but honorary trophies do not count towards an EGOT.

Another 16 TOE winners are deceased and will never get that final Grammy. They are actors Jack Albertson, Anne Bancroft, Ingrid Bergman, Shirley Booth, Melvyn Douglas, Glenda Jackson, Thomas Mitchell, Christopher Plummer, Jason Robards, Paul Scofield, Maggie Smith, Maureen Stapleton, Jessica Tandy, composer Ralph Burns, director-choreographer Bob Fosse, and art director-costume designer Tony Walton.

Only 21 people have won the awards grand slam known as the EGOT. They are (in chronological order of achievement) composer Richard Rodgers, Helen Hayes, Rita Moreno, John Gielgud, Audrey Hepburn, Marvin Hamlisch, orchestrator Jonathan Tunick, Mel Brooks, Mike Nichols, Whoopi Goldberg, producer Scott Rudin, composer Robert Lopez, John Legend, Tim Rice, Andrew Lloyd Webber, composer Alan Menken, Jennifer Hudson, Viola Davis, Elton John, and composers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
