Uncork’d Entertainment has acquired the North American rights to The Hermit, starring Lou Ferrigno as a cannibalistic pig farmer in his first role playing a creature since “The Incredible Hulk.”
Variety reports that Uncork’d plans to release the indie horror film in theaters in the first quarter of 2026.
Dragged on a vacation to the woods, two self-absorbed teens venture off trail, stumble across a farm, go in, see animal heads hanging from the wall, and fight for their lives against an unstoppable cannibal pig farmer.
Malina Weissman (“A Series of Unfortunate Events”) and Anthony Turpel (“That ’90s Show”) also star.
Salvatore Sclafani directs from a script by William Walkerley. Gerry Pass of Chrome Entertainment produces alongside Sclafani’s First Child Productions.
“Salvatore delivers a fierce, crowd-pleasing ride, while Lou Ferrigno is a force in full creature mode,” said Uncork’d President Keith Leopard. “We are thrilled to have acquired The Hermit and can’t wait to share it with horror fans across North America.”
