Andy Farrell bore the hallmarks of a worried man as he watched his team huff and puff against Japan. At one stage he removed his spectacles as if to say it was all too much for him to see their limitations in 20:20.
After the game, he dismissed the idea that he’s concerned, admitting weakness is not in his nature, but the problems are mounting in front of his eyes and this 41-10 win over Japan did little to suggest they’re being solved.
