A motorist was having a “bad hair day” when he refused to co-operate with a garda at a checkpoint because he “didn’t like being stopped”, a judge has said.

Despite being sober and fully insured and licensed, Michael Cleary declined to hand over his licence and rolled up the window, nearly injuring the garda’s hand.
