Pharmacy student Caitlin Kennedy from Meenderryhirk, Dungloe has been honoured by Ulster University for academic excellence.
Caitlin received the Almac Pharmacology Prize for excellence in the field of pharmacology.
Caitlin won the award by achieving the highest aggregate score in second year of the degree course across all the sciences.
Cailtin was presented with her award at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences annual prize giving ceremony in the University’s Diamond Hall on Thursday 6th November.
Awards were presented to Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences students in each of the 4 years of study for their achievements in their academic studies, professional skills, and research.

This award follows on from another award Caitlin won last year when she was an award winner on Ulster University Dean’s List, a prize which recognises students who achieve outstanding academic performance and achieve a year average of 70% or greater an average of at least 70% across all assessments.
Caitlin recently began the third year of her university Pharmacy degree course.
She is currently on a 4 week placement in hospital and community healthcare settings but returned to Ulster University’s Coleraine campus to collect her award.
