McVey took a style segue from his turn as Prince William, trading preppy rugby shirts for a white vest and plaid shirt, which the actor paired with a pair of black trousers. As for Luther Ford, who recently starred alongside James Norton in King & Conqueror on the BBC, the actor wrapped up in a striped woollen jumper and jeans.
The three stars have, of course, spent plenty of time together promoting The Crown, so it is perhaps little wonder that they have an oh-so-natural sense of chemistry. Straight out of the gates, they were wearing some of the world’s most luxurious fashion houses: at the LA premier of season six, Bellamy dazzled in a long black silk dress designed by Stella McCartney, accompanied by a Valentino-wearing Ed McVey and Ford in wide-trousers and an earring. The trio posed for pictures at the Westwood Regency Village Theatre along with Elizabeth Debicki, the actress who portrayed Princess Diana.
This is the first major project for Ed McVey following his star turn on The Crown, but if the rave reviews he’s been winning are anything to go by, it will certainly not be his last. Meanwhile, Meg Bellamy has taken part in a short film and a play at the Bristol Old Vic, while spending a lot of time touring the world following her star-making role. In addition to spending time at Spa for the Formula One, she has been enjoying well-deserved holidays in Thailand, Malaysia and Singapore. Ford has had the most screentime in the years since The Crown. In addition to joining the cast of the BBC’s flagship autumnal period drama, he has acted alongside Keira Knightley in Black Doves and is set to star alongside Rami Malek in the upcoming musical fantasy film The Man I Love.
