Moxy Belfast City has officially opened its doors this week on Clarence Street West, making it the first Moxy Hotel in Northern Ireland.
The new hotel includes 179 newly refurbished and reimagined bedrooms with single, double, twin, triple and family room options available.
Moxy Belfast City is within walking distance of Belfast City Hall, Ulster Hall, Victoria Square Shopping Centre as well as the many restaurants, bars, and nightlife that the Cathedral Quarter has to offer.
“It is with enormous pride that we open the doors and unveil our brand-new hotel, the first Moxy Hotel in Northern Ireland,” said Gemma Connor, general manager at Moxy Belfast City.
“We have built a team of over 40 associates working here in the hotel and are still recruiting to add more people to our team.”
She added, “I would like to personally thank MHL Hotel Collection for their investment in the hotel as well as the local businesses such as Grant Fit Out and Todd’s Architects who helped make this transformation possible.”
Moxy Hotels, the playful experiential hotel brand, are part of Marriott Bonvoy’s portfolio of 31 extraordinary brands. MHL Hotel Collection purchased the property in September 2024.
Following an investment of £8 million, it has been completely redesigned and remodelled as a fresh new addition to the neighbourhood.
The hotel also proudly celebrates a wider brand milestone as the 100th Moxy Hotel to open in the EMEA region.
“We are looking forward to welcoming locals and international visitors to Belfast City and I am excited to see Moxy Belfast City prosper under the stewardship of Gemma Connor and her team,” said Paul Higgins, partner at MHL Hotel Collection.
