A dog owner caught on camera abusing his pet husky in a manner which a judge said “borders on depraved brutality” avoided jail but was handed a lifetime animal ban.
Alex Taffe, of Edenmore Park, Raheny, Dublin 5, received a four-month suspended sentence after pleading guilty to failing to safeguard the welfare of his one-and-a-half-year-old husky, Simba, under the Animal Health and Welfare Act.
