A Mack Hansen hat-trick of tries in the first-half steered Ireland to a hard-fought victory over Joe Schmidt’s Australia at the Aviva Stadium.

Following a lacklustre display in last week’s win over Japan at the same venue, this victory goes some way to convincing people that Ireland are turning the corner.
