M&S has delighted fans with the return of a signature brand Christmas decoration. The Colin the Caterpillar™ Glass Hanging Decoration, £5, is back for another year, with shoppers racing to secure one (or two or three) to avoid disappointment.
The hand-painted blown glass Colin is one of the retailer’s most popular gifts with shoppers buying them for friends and family year after year. The ornament is said to look “real”, but be warned, it’s got many craving the chocolate version all season long.
Colin joins the line-up of other festive favourites including the matching Connie, £5 and the ‘trending’ Reversy Percy Glass Hanging Decoration, £5, which resembles a shiny pink bag of the iconic sweets. There’s also a new Harry Potter™ Sorting Hat Hanging Decoration, £8, and Wicked’s Glinda and Elphaba decorations (also £8 each), among others.

One shopper said: “Delight from Colin loving granddaughters. Granddaughters wanted one of these last year but they were sold out quickly so I bought this as soon as I saw it.”
Tilly said: “A bauble for all Colin fans. Well made and looks like a real mini chocolate roll.”

While Sylvia added: “I purchased two of Colin the Caterpillar Glass Hanging Decorations as he was previously out of stock and now I can see why he is so popular! Extremely well made and does not feel fragile.”
“I have added a personal touch to Colin with a white ribbon to hang on our white Xmas Tree.”, she continued. “The only problem now is every time you look at Colin you want to go to M&S for the Colin Cakes as he looks so yummy.”

Although, one three star reviewer said: “This is ok but not as nice as many other tree ornaments from M&S.”
Another shopper found a blemish, writing: “Bought this as a gift. I noticed there was an air bubble in Colin’s face which created a small hole. Was quite disappointed.”
