An e-bike cyclist has died following a road traffic collision in Waterford City which occurred last weekend.
The male cyclist, aged 18 years, was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Waterford for treatment of serious injuries following the collision involving an e-bike and a car on the Cork Road (R680) at approximately 7.45pm on Sunday last.
Gardaà confirmed he has since died. The local Coroner has been notified and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course.
Gardaà are appealing for witnesses to this collision come forward.
Any road users with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from the area at the time, are asked to provide it to investigating GardaÃ.
