Letterkenny musician Brí Carr has unveiled her new single today, titled 25 years.

In fact, this special song has taken a quarter of a century to reach listeners!

Brí, a well-known teacher at Lurgybrack National School, wrote the track when she was 25.

The song captures the hopes, dreams and wonder of that time in her life.

“I was imagining 25 years’ time. Now it is all too real,” says Brí.

The track has been newly recorded at Full Tilt Studios in Letterkenny.

The song reflects on the challenge of making sense of life as a young adult. Its heartwarming message centres on cherishing the moments that come and believing in the dreams you carry.

Brí is also preparing to release another special piece this winter. Her upcoming New Year song, My Gift, features her daughter Caela. “It is my old self talking to my young self about strength, resilience and life. Caela is the young self,” she explained. Stay tuned for the release of this next track.
