A lucky Lottery player in Cork was the biggest winner in last night’s draw as they scooped a six-figure prize. The player, who Lotto bosses have confirmed bought their ticket in Cork city during the week, won over €290,000.
The winner’s Quick Pick ticket had five matching numbers and the bonus number, winning an incredible prize of €292,572. The winning ticket was purchased at the Costcutter shop on Bridge Street, just off MacCurtain Street. The lucky player bought their ticket on Thursday, November 20.
There was no winner of the jackpot on Saturday, so Wednesday’s Lotto jackpot rolls over to an estimated €5.5 million. However, there were over 77,000 winners nationwide last night. Players have been advised to check their tickets carefully, and winners are encouraged to sign the back of their ticket. The winning numbers in Saturday’s (22nd November) Lotto draw were: 02, 13, 29, 32, 35, 44, and the bonus was 45.

The Rebel County has had a number of big wins in recent weeks. On Friday, November 14, a player won a Euromillions prize worth €294,048 after picking up their Quick Pick ticket at Sweeney’s Daybreak, Kiltegan Park in Rochestown. And on Saturday November 1, a lucky winner scooped €1million in the Lotto+ draw with a ticket from a Tesco store in Midleton.
National Lottery spokesperson Sarah Orr said: “While Saturday night’s Lotto draw saw over 77,000 players nationwide win prizes across the Lotto and Plus draws, it was a Cork player who won the biggest prize of all! The Rebel County player, who matched five numbers and the bonus, scooped €292,572 after purchasing their ticket in Cork City. We are appealing to any of our players who may have popped into Costcutter on Bridge Street on Thursday (20th November) and purchased their Lotto ticket, to carefully check their ticket today.”
